To tell you about ourselves could take a while but to be brief, in our former lives we were the husband and wife team who created the children's book series called 'Foxwood Tales'. which Cynthia wrote and I (Brian ) illustrated. Foxwood Tales has now been published in approx Thirty languages and counting and although they are still in print around the world and have provided us with many good times our focus now is on looking after our B&B guests from our home in Cornwall, a part of the country we truly love. After raising three sons who have all flown the nest Cynthia is at last able to focus on her lifelong passion for cooking and her natural open friendliness always makes for a pleasant and welcoming stay for our guests. The absence of a family to raise now has also left us time to dwell on other thoughts for future plans and the possibiity of art weeks or music retreat weekends cannot be ruled out as long as the creative juices keep flowing. We are comitted to providing the best possible home from home experience for our guests in a comfortable tasteful and relaxing environment. Caroe Farmhouse is our beautifully presented, newly renovated and updated home to which we welcome our B&B guests with warmth and enthusiasm. Formally a traditional farmhouse it overlooks a gentle and tranquil Cornish valley only minutes from Boscastle, the coastal path and a whole range of hamlets, inlets and beaches. From Bude (10 miles away) to Port Isaac (12 miles away) and with Rock, Padstow and Wadebridge around half an hour, Caroe is set in a prime location for your every need. If your fancy takes a turn away from the coast there are lovely villages country pubs and natural landscapes to explore inland with amazing walks on Bodmin Moor only 15 minutes away. Further afield in little over half an hour from our doorstep you could be sunbathing on Mawganporth beach, paddling in Constantine bay, Walking Bedruthan steps or dinning in style at the Watergate Bay Hotel, or Jamie Oliver's "15". Caroe Farmhouse is also situated within easy reach of Mainline trains and International flights.

Our immediate neighbourhood is very special, not least our own home with such peaceful views that our friends and family are happy just to sit and relax without going anywhere when they come to visit. For more bracing locations of course there are the coastal walks only a few minutes away by car where you can park up and spend the day exploring the beaches and rock pools of Crackington, Trebarwith, Widemouth, Port Issac, Tintagel, Boscastle and many more. A special place to enjoy lunch is the Boscastle farmshop, only 6 minutes away from us. Great food and service with lovely views out to sea alongside one of the best coastal paths in Cornwall. How blessed we are to have Boscastle as our local village. Turning one's attention inland, we are also close to Bodmin Moor with it's panoramic views, stone circles, burial chambers, tors and massive granit rock formations. There are also wooded vales and streams,not to be missed when visiting this special area. Pretty villages are everywhere providing such a trove of local hidden treasures and some of Cornwalls best kept secrets. So please come and visit us and take advantage of our local knowledge for a break you will never forget.
