Orkney will immerse you in its rich tapestry of dramatic landscapes, amazing sunsets, stunning flora and fauna all mixed in with a rich culture 5,000 years in the making. Add this to one of the richest archaeological landscapes anywhere in the world, the Heart of Neolithic Orkney World Heritage Site, then you know you have arrived in a place like no other.
From the spectacular and iconic Ring of Brodgar, to Maeshowe – the finest Neolithic tomb in Northern Europe, or the Neolithic settlement of Skara Brae – one of the best preserved groups of prehistoric houses in Western Europe, Orkney Apartments puts on the doorstep of Neolithic Orkney. You can even visit the live dig at The Ness of Brodgar – recently featured nationally on the BBC as well as the front cover of National Geographic magazine, this 3 hectare site filled with massive stone structures containing unique and spectacular finds is without parallel in Europe.
Kirkwall itself boasts numerous shops and cafes, theatre, sports centre, 3D cinema, as well as 3 large supermarkets, and not forgetting Britain’s most northerly cathedral of St Magnus.
We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful islands.....
