Company information

We are a family of 4 who have been running the Bed & Breakfast since 2011. Having always worked in restaurants and hotels we come from experienced backgrounds. When we found Chillington House we refurbished it in the winter and spring of 2010/11. Adam is an excellent chef who has worked in restaurants for fifteen years upto 2 AA rosette standard which means your breakfast will be second to none.

Property information

Chillington is a contemporary bed & breakfast which feels like a hotel. All the rooms are modern, spacious with large en suite showers. We are conveniently located in the centre of Chillington village close to the village shop and pub on the coastal road between Kingsbridge and Dartmouth above Salcombe harbour. If you are looking for a location to explore the South Hams then Chillington House is perfect.

Neighbourhood information

Chillington is a picturesque Devon village with wonky chimney stacks, thatched roofs and coastal coloured cottages. The village is just 2 miles form the sea at Torcross. The village has an award winning pub, excellent well stocked shop and post office as well as a small snack shop. We are centrally located for exploring the whole of the South Hams, half way between Salcombe and Dartmouth. There are excellent beaches all around for surfing or swimming depending on how sheltered you choose. There is an abundance of activities in the area including Paddle Boarding, electric bike hire, surfing, sailing, coasteering and coastal path walking.

The post-code for Chillington House is TQ7 2JX. If you are using a Sat Nav, it may take you down some very narrow lanes. Please note the following directions, from Kingsbridge take the A379 Dartmouth Road passing through the villages of West then East Charleton and Frogmore until you reach Chillington. The house is located at the far end of Chillington village on the main road on the corner of Fairfield Way on the right.

If you are arriving from the Dartmouth direction once you enter Chillington village Chillington House is the last house on the left at the end of the initial narrowing of the road.

Please inform Chillington House in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
