「Cliftonville House is on the outskirts of Whitstable but it's not far to walk to the centre and benefits from a frequent bus service. Sue cooked a lovely breakfast each morning, making exactly what I wanted. Cereals, juice, toast and tea were also...」

「As soon as we arrived, Sue was friendly and welcoming, and even said we could bring takeaways back and eat them in the dining room/lounge if we wanted to. She even left a beer glass out for us the second day. Full English breakfast was excellent....」

「The location was perfect, far enough out from the bustle of the town but close enough to walk in. Sue was very friendly and made us very welcome.」

I've been running Cliftonville House as a B&B for 8 years now. It's something I really enjoy doing, I love meeting new people from all over the world and from all walks of life
I've lived in Cliftonville House for 40 years now and have managed to trace all previous occupants. The missing piece of the jigsaw was filled in for me in July 2016 when a very dapper gentleman knocked on my door one Saturday afternoon. I assumed he was after a room for the night but no. He introduced himself as Jim Foreman , he was born in this property in 1927 and grew up here till he left to serve his time in the 1950's. He had his 2 sons with him on a trip down memory lane and I was able to show him the original document his mother and father had signed when they purchased the property. He has kept in touch with me since and has dug out several old photos of his families time here. He will be coming down as an hounary guest along with his sons this year
Whitstable is a tight knit community but the demographs have changed since I first moved here in 2977. I feel they've changed for the better. It's a very popular destination for day trippers, weekenders and young couples who wish to escape their busy life style in London. There are numerous excellent eateries art galleries and eclectic gift shops. Whitstable has working Harbour, it's a busy town but not overcrowded. It's a town I've always felt safe in
