Clock House Cottage is in an exceptional location on West Wight and can be easily located using Google Maps. The property is especially well suited to CYCLISTS and WALKERS but is also a great spot for those wishing to enjoy the beach and explore the island generally. Guests have access to our large garden with a large population of birds frequenting the feeding station as well as our resident red squirrels. The walk to the beach is ten minutes and there is a plethora of oustanding walking and cycling routes directly from the property. There are also guided fossil walks available nearby. If you are interested in either of these please contact me prior to your visit for further information. The accommodation is generally simple and convenient but it should be noted that both shower rooms and toilets are located on the ground floor and the steep staircase means that this property is not suitable for small children or those with limited mobility and is not suitable for wheelchair access. We therefore welcome children of 8 years upwards. We also welcome small, well behaved dogs and there is a small daily surcharge for this. 50% non-refundable deposit is payable via bank transfer after booking in order to secure the reservation. Reservations will be held for one week pending this.

We are keen walkers and cyclists ourselves and can support you regarding route planning and pick-up options for one-way trips where appropriate. We also offer weatherproof and lockable bike storage during your stay. Since moving here a couple of years back, we have got to know the local area well, especially regarding wildlife and good places to picnic, walk etc. and are happy to share this with our guests.

Our guests especially love the proximity and wildness of the beach and the wide range of nearby walks as well as the great choice of restaurants and tearooms located nearby. There are plenty of other attractions within easy driving distance of the property depending on your interest and tourist information leaflets are available in the cottage. If you are keen walkers or cyclists, we recommend using an app such as Ordnance Survey or Strava to avail the incredible range of local routes of different lengths.
