COASTGUARD COTTAGE has been recently refurbished, and is located in the old Coastguard House, built in 1860.
Overlooking the sea, it enjoys a panoramic view of Dundrum Bay, and a 20 minute walk along the promenade takes you to the town centre. There is also a bus stop outside the property.
The adjacent granite steps lead to King street and thence to Donard Park, The Glen River and Sleive Donard mountain. the highest in the Mourne range.
Thedownstairs has a kitchen/living room. The shower room is also on the ground floor.
Two bedrooms are on the first floor, one with a king bed, the other has twin beds. The attic room, with two dormer windows, has a single bed.
I started operating in the hospitality industry 10 years ago. I enjoy providing a high quality property for visitors to use as a base for a relaxing or an adventurous holiday.
There are two magnificant golf links in Newcastle. Royal County Down and Mourne Golf Club.
Tollymore Forest Park and Castlewellan Forest Park are nearby. Also within easy driving distance there are numerous National Trust properties and other historic and beautiful places of interest.
Newcastle abounds with award winning cafes and restaurants.
An outdoor swimming pool (unheated) caters for serious swimmers, and a heated outdoor "Tropicana", are open during July and August.
