Fairview is an old Hebridean Croft House which has become our family holiday home. It's a good base for a Western Isles adventure, being on the island of Benbecula which lies exactly between North and South Uist.

I live quite a way away but am "on call" 24/7...I'm lucky to have wonderful neighbours opposite, William and Caroline who will be available to deal with any "matters arising". My contact details should be available somewhere on this site but if not there is a folder with instructions on the hallways table and all my contact details will be there. Should you need any help with anything just contact me initially and if I can't answer your query I'll ask the neighbours to step in.
There are two wonderful beaches just a couple of minutes away by car... Cula Bay and Airport Beach. The airport is less than a mile and there is a Golf Club virtually opposite. The town of Balivanich is only a mile away with supermarket, bank, Post Office, hospital, petrol station. The highest hill on Benbecula, Rueval is again less than a 5 minute drive before the walk starts and up there the view is breathtaking.
Walking is wonderful on the Outer Hebrides....it's so wild there often isn't even a proper path. Take a really waterproof pair of boots (the locals usually choose wellies) as you can encounter a surprising number of marshy patches. If you walk across the field opposite the house and clamber over the fence you reach the sea.
