Trethellan Lodge is a cosy one bedroom barn conversion on our 3.5 acre smallholding in totally unspoilt Cornish countryside. Centrally located 15-20 minutes from North and South coasts, all major tourist attractions within easy reach. Private garden with outdoor seating and BBQ. Guests are welcome to join us at feeding time to enjoy meeting our alpacas, goats, pigs & horses.
Family man with 4 school-aged kids. Thoroughly enjoying running the smallholding that Julia and I bought in 2017 after spending too long in the rat-race. Love travelling - stayed in anything and everything from a tent to a 5 star hotel all over the world. Moved around the UK lots when younger and spent 3.5 years in Texas before finally settling in Cornwall. We live on site in the farmhouse so we are available should there be any issues. We do like to greet our guests on arrival to say hello and check if they need anything, but other than that, we believe it is their home from home so we tend to leave them to enjoy their holiday. We can typically be found feeding the animals, tending the grounds etc. and are very happy to chat and provide advice on places to visit etc. We like to take our lead from our guests on the level of interaction they prefer - e.g. if they would like to feed the animals or chat about great places to eat locally.
