Welcome to our chalet in Kings Chalet Park, Cromer – set in 12 acres of peaceful woodland, just a ten-minute clifftop walk to the beach and a short stroll to Cromer’s shops, cafés and pier. The chalet is older and does need some TLC (we’re improving it gradually), so it’s more practical and homely than modern or luxury – ideal if you want a simple base in a great location.
The chalet sleeps up to 4 people and comes with bedding, towels (shower, hand & tea) and bath mats. Inside you’ll find a small TV with Freeview channels, a DVD player (bring your own films), and a compact fridge with a small freezer compartment. Please note there is no WiFi, though mobile data works on site (EE is most reliable) and many cafés nearby offer free WiFi.
Electricity is paid through an online meter (topupmeters.co.uk). Usage depends on personal needs, so please be ready to manage top-ups as required. Check-in is from 2:00pm, with earlier arrivals sometimes possible if arranged in advance. You’ll have full private use of the chalet, and we’re only a call or text away if you need anything during your stay.
Important notes: there are no facilities for electric vehicle charging and extension leads from the chalet must not be used for this purpose – it is unsafe and against park rules (breaches may result in charges or eviction). Mobile coverage is generally good but can dip during bad weather. Extra cleaning or laundry can be arranged on request for an additional fee.
The chalet is clean, comfortable and functional, but not high-end. If something isn’t right during your stay, please let us know immediately so we can rectify the issue or agree a fair solution. We strive to keep our rates flexible and fair – if you feel the rate isn’t quite right, please message us before booking, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
A cosy, straightforward seaside base with beach and town on your doorstep – nothing fancy, but welcoming and steadily improving.
Kings Chalet Park is set within around 12 acres of peaceful woodland, offering a relaxed and natural environment just on the edge of Cromer. The park itself is quiet, with simple chalet accommodation spread across green spaces and tree-lined paths, making it a calm and affordable base for exploring the North Norfolk coast. Please note that the park has limited on-site facilities – there are no shops, restaurants, bars, or entertainment within the grounds. Guests usually treat it as a tranquil base and use Cromer town centre, just a short walk away, for everything they need.
From the park, it’s about a 10-minute clifftop walk down to the beach, where you can enjoy long coastal walks, rock pooling, or just a traditional day by the sea. Another 5 minutes brings you into Cromer itself – a charming seaside town famous for its Victorian pier, fresh Cromer crab, independent shops, cafés, pubs, and family-friendly attractions.
The wider area of North Norfolk is known for its unspoilt coastline, pretty villages, and nature reserves. Within a short drive you’ll find Holkham Hall and Estate, the Norfolk Broads for boat trips, and several National Trust properties. Walking and cycling routes are plentiful, and wildlife lovers often spot seals, seabirds, and other coastal species nearby.
Cromer is well connected by road and rail. The town has a train station linking to Norwich and beyond, as well as regular bus routes to neighbouring coastal towns. For those travelling by car, there is no on-site parking directly at each chalet, but shared parking bays are available throughout the park.
In short, Kings Chalet Park offers a quiet, no-frills woodland setting with the beach and Cromer’s lively town centre just a short stroll away – perfect for those who want a simple base surrounded by nature while being close to all the essentials.
