Welcome to my former family home, now open to guests! I’ve intentionally kept a homely feel, hoping you’ll enjoy this space as much as my children and I did. The home is part of a collection of 1930s modernist houses, renowned for their distinctive architecture. With flat roofs and clean, streamlined lines, these houses are a beautiful example of Art Deco design found in parts of Leeds. Inside, lush plants and a curated collection of books and games create a sense of well-being. You’ll find vegan cookbooks, mindfulness guides, colouring books, yoga resources, and novels. On chilly evenings, unwind by the wood-burning stove, available for use from 1st November to 31st March (unless agreed in advance). Step into the peaceful back garden, where you might spot squirrels through the French doors — or even a hedgehog at night. The wildlife-friendly front garden greets you with native plants that support local biodiversity. Families, contractors, and travellers — all welcome: Families will appreciate the high chair, bed guard, and variety of toys and board games provided. For business travellers and contractors, the home offers a desk and ultra-fast WiFi for remote work. Free driveway and on-street parking Parking is free, with both a driveway and on-street options available. On-street parking is usually preferred, as the driveway is narrow.

Hello! I'm Lisa, a citizen of the world with three nationalities, now rooted in Leeds. I speak French, English, Italian and Spanish fluently. I love hosting because it gives me the chance to meet people from all over the world and speak in different languages. I live just down the street, so I'm easily available if you need anything during your stay. I love Leeds and the surrounding countryside, and I'm always happy to share tips about places to visit. I also take pride in the front garden I created from scratch: once a tarmacked driveway, now a thriving green space that supports insects and local wildlife!

Chapel Allerton is a vibrant neighborhood full of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. It's ideally located 10 minutes drive from Leeds city centre. For people who like walks in nature, we have some beautiful green spaces, all within walking distance: Gledhow Valley woods, Potternewton Park, Chapel Allerton Park, Sugarwell Hill, Meanwood Valley Urban farm.
