Island Holiday Cottages was created over 25 years ago on the Isle of Mull where we manage a large number of properties. We have properties to suit all parties large and small, some with sea views, some with log burners, many allow pets. Property information

Situated alone on the remote South side of the picturesque, community owned Isle of Ulva, Cragaig Bothy is available for visitors to the island. This unique, off-grid property offers basic but cosy accommodation with no electricity, what it does have is the opportunity for living simply and taking in the magnificent views out over the sea to Iona, Staffa and the Treshnish Islands along with peace, quiet and solitude. The island is renowned for its stunning scenery, wildlife, flora and fauna – it is home to the majestic White-tailed Sea Eagle, Golden Eagles, Otters, Seals, Red Deer and much more. There is no road to the bothy, so access is by foot after a two hour walk from the Ulva Ferry. It can also be reached by sea via kayak or boat. The water in the bothy runs directly from the hillside, it is not suitable for drinking, however there is a gas cooker which can be used for boiling water and cooking. There is a wood burning stove that in addition to heating the bothy, also heats the water for the taps and shower via a back boiler. Logs, kindling and firelighters are all provided. There are no shops on the island so all supplies must be brought over from Mull and carried in. We do offer kit transportation if required (subject to availability), sixty pounds single and one hundred pounds return. Access to Ulva is via small passenger ferry from Mull.
The ferry operates Monday to Friday between 9am and 5.30pm April to October, and also Sundays in June, July and August. *PLEASE NOTE NO FERRYS RUN ON SATURDAYS* The cost of this ferry is eight pounds return for adults, and four pounds return for children. Winter sailings to Ulva are at 07:40 and 16:30, Monday–Friday. Please arrive 15 minutes early as sailing times are strictly kept. (No weekend sailings during the winter months.) Two dogs are welcome at twenty five pounds per stay
