Blaunwaun is a rural area and is perfectly located to explore Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Blaunwaun itself has limited amenities, but has one village pub. The nearest convenience shop is located in Llanboidy, 3.5 miles away, so make sure you stock up on route. The local area has a good choice of outdoor activities available within a 30-40 minute drive, with local offerings of Castell Henllys Iron Age Village or Cliff diving at Rosebush quarry. There are many beautiful rugged beaches in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, along with the more popular coastal resorts of Pendine, Saundersfoot and Tenby. There is an abundance of interesting attractions locally, including Castles, historic houses and National Botanical Gardens to name a few. If you are a "foodie" then there is a fantastic choice of restaurants in the vicinity, and Jabbajaks vineyard being a favourite in the area only 4 miles away.
