Newburgh is a charming coastal village in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, known for its stunning beach, rich wildlife, golf course, and peaceful atmosphere. Situated on the banks of the Ythan Estuary, it is home to one of Scotland’s largest seal colonies, along with flocks of eider ducks and diverse birdlife. The village has a long history, dating back to medieval times, and was once an important centre for salmon fishing. Located just 13 miles north of Aberdeen, Newburgh is easily accessible by car (25 minutes), with Aberdeen International Airport just 20 minutes away. Regular train services run from Aberdeen to Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Inverness. While local buses are available, hiring a car is recommended for exploring. Places to eat: Udny Arms Restaurant.
