「Our second visit. Very pleasant hosts. Beautiful room overlooking the countryside. Delicious breakfast. Would highly recommend.」
We moved to Dunster from Cheshire and we love it, we enjoy meeting the many varied guests and like hearing their stories. Dunster is so friendly we already feel like locals. We both enjoy a game of golf when we can and Pete plays for the local snooker team in Winter.

We are in a beautiful position on the edge of the village next door to a fully working watermill. The property is within the National Trust grounds and whilst it is busy during the day, after 5pm it is so quiet with no traffic noise just the sound of the river flowing by, and only a 10 minute stroll to the centre of the village. Across the river is the pretty hillside and the deer park. We often see the deer and the Exmoor ponies in the distance. There are plenty of walks easily accessible from the house or you can take a journey on the steam train which is only a couple of miles away.

Dunster is famous for its castle and working watermill, both of which are now looked after by the National Trust. In the center of the village is the famous Yarn Market, the whole village has so much history and there are walking tours given by our very knowlegable guides. If you like a sandy beach we have a great one in Minehead just a couple of miles away with access to the coastal path for those who enjoy a walk. There is an 18 hole links golf course nearby but I warn you it can be a bit windy. As we are situated within the Exmoor National Park we are surrounded by stunning scenery and you can enjoy pony trekking or go on one of the Exmoor safari's. Whatever you choose there is plenty to keep you occupied during your visit.
