For our guests who prefer to stay in a smaller group we are offering the opportunity to stay in the East wing of the castle. This wing can accommodate up to 4 people comfortably with the option of adding 2 more people at no extra cost. There are 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, and large panelled drawing room. We also offer a large patio with barbecue and 11 acres of grounds to explore including our newly uncovered rose garden and burns which provide a natural moat around the castle.

Lickleyhead Castle is on the outskirts of the sleepy village of Auchleven. The surrounding countryside is peaceful and dotted with sheep. A finger of woodland connects the estate with the forests on the slopes of Bennachie. The village has a pub, a garage for car repairs and a school. Food shopping should be done in the small town of Insch or the larger town of Inverurie. There is plenty to do on the estate and some people spend their entire time relaxing in the garden. However to get around you will probably need a car as public transport is practically non-existent in the village. Parking is not an issue. Cycling around may be an alternative.
