Great location short walk from the train station. Close to both Windermere and Bowness. The room was very quiet and comfortable . A lot of thought has gone into the design of the room, maximising the space with everything you need. Really good...

Ellerhow was built in the Victorian era, from Westmorland stone and slate, which still includes some of its original features including some cornices, stairs and spindles, It is a three story property, end terrace with a small front garden and patio that the guests can use, The house is my main residence, I live on the ground floor of the house, I also have one tenant(very quiet and polite) who lives in the top floor, rear room of the house.
This has been our house since 2007, although I have lived in Windermere since 1998, I have been a time served carpenter for the last 35 years and my partner originally from New Zealand runs a fused glass art studio in Windermere center. We do ask our guests to try to keep to our in house rules including No noise between the hours of 11.00pm to 06.00am Non Paying friends of guests are not allowed on the premises without permission No events or parties No smoking, including out of windows Please remove muddy boots or shoes before going upstairs to the rooms, either place them in downstairs porchway or clean them first before carrying them upstairs.
The area in which the house and rooms are situated is a very quiet and central location, Windermere on one side and then Bowness and the Lake on the other, most of all the shops are well within walking distance or take an all day bus pass from stagecoach with ticket prices starting at a low cost.
