The property was centrally located, close to shops, restaurants, pubs, the bus and train stations, and the beach. The arrival instructions and key retrieval were simple and accurate.

Property information

Folkestone Terrace is a lovely end of terrace holiday home with a wonderful, quirky vibe, blending art deco with mid-century interior design, and will certainly appeal to visitors wanting to experience the creative, artistic vibe of Folkestone. The house has a ground floor open plan kitchen and dining area which is great for chilling out with family and friends, and a first floor sitting room with cosy wood burner. There are also two bedrooms and a bathroom. Folkestone Terrace is a great place to stay whilst exploring the thriving coastal town of Folkestone. The harbour and beach are a 10-minute walk away, passing by the Creative Quarter for a spot of shopping. The Creative Quarter is a short walk from the harbour and offers many art galleries, boutique shops and craft stores. Folkestone is a thriving coastal town, with a long maritime history. The harbour arm has been transformed into a tourist hotspot with cafes, a champagne bar and other great food outlets. The harbour itself is home to seafood stalls and an excellent seafood restaurant with sea views. And of course, there is the long golden sandy beach and rock pools to enjoy to the east side of the harbour and shingle beaches located to the west. With the mainline station only a 10-minute walk away why not leave the car at home and have a truly relaxing stay. With Folkestone Terrace being a period property, it has steep and narrow staircases - please take extra care when going up or down the stairs. This property would not be suitable for those with limited mobility or infants, as it is spread across 3 floors with steep stairs throughout. There are also steep stairs leading to the front door.

Neighbourhood information

Enjoy lovely long beach walks along the cliff-top or walk down to the Lower Leas Coastal Park to enjoy a picnic with the family. If you are into art, head down to the unique ‘Creative Quarter’ where you’ll find a variety of art galleries and much more. If you’re looking for some of the best seafood restaurants in Kent, visit the renowned restaurant Rocksalt, recently voted in The Times Top 5 of ‘Britain’s 20 Best Places To Eat By The Beach’ or for something more relaxed, stroll down to the Folkestone Harbour arm, where you’ll find a variety of delicious independent food and drink stalls.
