Situated in the market town of Penrith, The North Gate-way to the Lake District National Park, Foundry 34 offers free Wi-Fi throughout, a brasserie restaurant, and bar. Perfect transport links; it is halfway between Carlisle and Kendal with easy access to the Lakes. This modern budget hotel has recently renovated rooms (January 2022); The rooms include an LCD smart TV, black-out curtains, and tea and coffee making facilities. Each room also offers ironing supplies, a full-length mirror, and large wardrobes. The en-suite bathroom has a power shower. Foundry 34’s restaurant serves imaginative British cuisine, with some Mediterranean influences. Dishes are prepared using seasonal, Cumbrian produce. Please note that due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic this property is currently operating on a room only basis and a contactless check-in service is available. All payments must be made prior to arrival.
Please be aware that due to the town centre location, this property can occasionally suffer from noise from traffic or people outside. The ground-floor bar is also sometimes host to live music on a Saturday, a Bank Holiday Sunday and Fridays throughout December, on an evening until 00:00 midnight. Although every care is taken to avoid it, noise can travel to the rooms. Complimentary ear plugs are available upon request.
Pay and Display parking across the road. Free Parking between 6PM and 8AM.
