Foxtons Townhouse is a very spacious, comfortable property in the center of Berwick's town centre. The property was initially renovated in 2017, but continues to be developed with decor and amenities maintained to a high standard. The location is perfect for exploring the town and as a base for travelling around Northumberland and the Borders.
Upon entry to the property you will find a storage area for outdoor and footwear, as well as space to store up to 3 bikes and golf clubs.
On the first floor is the main living space, with the kitchen, living room, master bedroom and a bathroom located on they level. On the staircase to the main floor is a WC. On the second floor you will find 3 further bedrooms (1 x king, 1 x double, 1 x ensuite twin with full bathroom) separated by a corridor and landing.
All rooms in the property are tastefully decorated and are an inviting space to spend time with family and friends. The bedrooms have luxury bedding and there are lovely fluffy towels for guests.
After growing up in beautiful Berwick, and spending 30 wonderful years living in London, France, California, and travelling around the world, our family has relocated back to the stunning and special county of Northumberland. It is an honour to provide gorgeous accommodation to visitors in the heart of the town and share recommendations and insider info with guests!
Travel, reading, cooking and spending time with my family and friends is what makes my heart happy, as well as walking our two dogs in the Northumberland countryside and to the beaches near Berwick.
Historic Berwick has so many wonderful places to spend time, both in the town itself and the surrounding area. Personal favourites include the town's Elizabethan Walls, which are seconds from the property, as well as a walk along the iconic pier, the Lowry Trail, followed by time spent shopping, visiting art galleries and antique shops. Wonderful cafes, bars and restaurants which are in easy walkable distance. A couple of beaches are walkable from our properties but you can easily jump in a car to spend time and many of the other gorgeous coastal areas and beaches nearby. If you want to visit a castle or two, there are plenty of country homes and castles in the area, including the ruins of Berwick Castle, Bamburgh, Holy Island, Chillingham and Floors Castle, not to mention the many country homes and estates. Events and festivals are often held in Berwick and the surrounding area through out the year, such as the annual Food and Wine Festival held in August and the Literary Festival in September.
Further afield, a visit to Paxton House, Bamburgh, Holy Island, and Alnwick Gardens are a must. Ad Gefrin in the small town of Wooler is a must visit if you are interested in whisky making and distilliaries. The cities of Edinburgh and Newcastle are an easy visit too, with a 5 minute walk to the train station and arrival in the city centres within an hour.
