The property is set in a rural location yet only just over 2 miles is Betws-y-Coed known as the ‘gateway to the Snowdonia National Park’, a popular destination for all age groups. It’s a bustling spot with many highly rated eateries to enjoy, friendly pubs, some fabulous shops selling local items, and various outdoor pursuit shops, the golf club (which welcomes visitors) is also in central Betws-y-Coed. There are some very scenic walks to explore, along rivers, waterfalls, Llyn (lake) Elsi sits above the village and is well worth the hike up. Just down the valley from Betws-y-Coed is the famous Marin Bike Trails, with colour coded routes suitable for all abilities. You’ll find a bike hire shop in Betws-y-Coed and at the nearby market town of Llanrwst; here you will also find a larger grocery store. Just up the road from the Marin bike trails is Llyn Geirionydd (Geirionydd Lake) this is a wonderful spot for a day out where you can use the lake to take a dip or use your paddle boards and kayaks; there are picnic benches available, parking and toilets.
