Situated in the centre of historic York, next to the old city walls and only 3 minutes' walk away from the York Minster, this 4-star guest house offers free Wi-Fi and free private parking on site. Rooms at Gillygate Guest House are elegant and contemporary furnished, and each benefits from a flat-screen TV with a DVD player, and an en suite bathroom with free toiletries. We love living in York and been a proud Yorkshireman like to show and explain where to get the best out of your time in and around the city or excursions in the Rest of our beautiful county of Yorkshire. However you can spend a week in York and still won't see it all.. Personally I love the old charm of strolling around the ancient city streets and Snicleways as the smaller streets are called here. There are excellent Museums and attractions so if the weather is inclement you still can be entertained. Then there are numerous excellent resteraunts bars and theatres to visit in the evenings or try a Ghost walk
