Glen Side is a delightful Edwardian stone-built, semi-detached cottage situated next a working livestock farm, on the edge of Far Sawrey and close to Hawkshead. This cottage sleeps five people and has three bedrooms, consisting of a king-size double, a twin and a single, together with bathroom and a ground floor shower room. The cottage also has a open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a woodburner and a second sitting room. Outside there's off road parking for two cars and a front raised lawned garden with veranda and furniture. Glen Side is an excellent Lake District base. From 31/1/26, the owner will be taking bookings directly.
Note: There are a number of stone steps to the front door and a couple of steps to the rear door. Note: No stag/hen parties or similar. Please note: bookings must fall between a Saturday and Saturday. Any short breaks must be either Saturday to Tuesday or Wednesday to Saturday note: Electric vehicle charging is not permitted at the contact the owner once your booking is made to confirm how the beds should be made up for your stay

The village of Far Sawrey has a Post Office/store and pub/restaurant. Bowness, with all its shops, restaurants and leisure facilities, is just a short distance across the lake by ferry. Also close by is 'Hill Top', once the home of Beatrix Potter, and Hawkshead with its picturesque 17th century cottages.
