A compact kitchenette offers tea and coffee-making facilities and a microwave for convenience. Guests enjoy a private entrance and breakfast is available to purchase during opening hours at De Koffie Pot cafe-bar, just steps away.
Please note: Gwynne House is a historic property with uneven floors and stepped access throughout and is therefore unsuitable for guests with restricted mobility. Due to safety considerations, children under 8 are not permitted to stay at Gwynne House. Ideal for adult groups, wedding parties and peaceful city breaks, just five minutes away from the city centre, Gwynne House offers charm, comfort and an exceptional riverside location.
Gwynne House is owned and managed by Gary and Karen Waring, who also operate The Left Bank Village - Hereford’s renowned riverside hospitality venue. With decades of experience in events and guest services, Gary, Karen and their team are known for creating warm, welcoming environments where guests feel truly looked after. Their wider venue includes the much-loved De Koffie Pot café-bar, a cocktail bar, wedding spaces, riverside terrace and a busy calendar of music and community events.
At Gwynne House, they bring the same care and attention to detail, providing stylish and flexible accommodation ideal for adults, couples and groups attending celebrations or seeking a city break with charm.
As hosts of a Grade II-listed building, they want guests to be aware that the house has uneven floors, stepped access and is not suitable for young children or guests with restricted mobility - ensuring your stay is not only enjoyable but safe.
Gwynne House is ideally situated in the heart of Hereford City, just a short stroll from the stunning Hereford Cathedral with the banks of the River Wye as your view. Set on historic Bridge Street, guests are steps from riverside walks, independent shops, artisan cafés and cultural highlights including the world-famous Mappa Mundi. The area is alive with year-round events, from local food festivals and riverside markets to the internationally renowned Three Choirs Festival, which returns to Hereford in 2025. Guests can also enjoy live music, spoken word and exhibitions at The Left Bank Village next door.
While surrounded by activity, Gwynne House offers a peaceful base to return to - whether you're exploring the city or relaxing by the river.
Please note: The house’s historic features include uneven floors and steps, so it is not suitable for those with limited mobility. Children under 8 are not permitted.
