Set between the Broads National Park and the Coast, Hectors House is the ideal location for beach, walking, cycling, boating, fishing and bird watching. It's situated in a lane just off the main A149 in the village of Ormesby St Michael with a handful of friendly neighbours. It's peaceful and quiet so you can enjoy and relax. It was built back in the 1900’s and has just been refurbished completely with it's enchanting low ceilings and winding traditional Norfolk twist staircase, which may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. 
Hectors House has a comfortable sitting room, with a window seat, a television with freeview plus a DVD player, alternatively there is a large selection of board games. There is free WIFI throughout the house and garden too!
The kitchen is fully equipped for your stay with washing machine, fridge, freezer we provide tea, coffee and soft drinks, washing up liquid, tea towels are all free of charge. 
Upstairs there are two good sized double rooms both have double beds, both rooms have bed side sockets, heaters and storage.
We do allow well behaved dogs at the property subject to our approval at an additional cost of ten pounds per dog, with a maximum of two dogs per stay. Please note no pets are permitted to stay without our consent. Dogs are not permitted on any beds or furniture. Charges will be applied if rules are not adhered to. Please contact us prior to your stay to arrange the payment fee, should you require to add this option to your stay.
I'm Paula your host at Hectors House, our family have been part of village life for over three generations.
We farm the land around Hectors House mainly growing arable crops, we also run the local farm shop, growing all our own produce to sell direct to the public, with a flourishing vegetable box business.

Hectors House is tucked away in a quiet location in Ormesby St Micheal, Ormesby St Margret has local amenities such as village shop, chemist, fish and chip shop, garage, hairdressers, the village public house The Jolly Farmers does a great Sunday lunch, there is also a Indian and Chinese takeaways all of which are a short 10 minute walk form Hectors House.
There are local boat hire companies nearest being Martham a short 10 minute car journey away. 
Only a short stroll away from Hectors House is the picturesque Ormesby broad via The Boat House, which is our local public house and has a fantastic food offering. 
Hectors House works perfectly as a location both summer and winter it is fully central heated for the winter months which is the ideal time to visit the seals at Horsey gap.
The best way to get around is car, we do however have a local bus service but it is limited. Taxi Numbers can be provided.
