Set amongst the rolling fells of England's most tranquil district and nestled into a picturesque English village are Wetheral Cottages. These traditional holiday cottages sit within their own delightful grounds on the edge of the Eden Valley village of Great Salkeld. With delightful views of rolling farmland, they provide a perfect base for a relaxing, self catering Lake District break.  Located just a stones throw from the many historic villages of the lovely Eden Valley, as well as a range of local attractions there is always something new to experience. Enjoy the sunrises and starry night skys from our perfect location. Our dog friendly cottages cater for couples, families and large groups of up to 33 guests. Each of the cottages offer their own individual character with traditional stonework and exposed beams. Creating the ambience of cosy, comfortable country living - a home away from home. The outdoor areas surrounding the cottages will take your breath away. While sitting in the peaceful silence of the stunning scenery, you can hear the serene sounds of nature and local church bells ringing in the distance.  Highcroft @ Wetheral Cottages Approached by sandstone steps this cottage offers bright and airy accommodation on one level for up to eight people, perfect for families or friends getting together for a catch up. The  large entrance hall benefits from being south facing making it a great space with light flooding through on those sunny days. Leading from this are the two bedrooms both with king-size beds, one of which has an ensuite shower room. The main bathroom is spacious, with a bath and shower overhead.  Perfect to relax in after those long days out. An open plan Living Area with Kitchenette makes it the perfect sociable setting for you to gather for those meal times all together, creating those lasting memories for you all to cherish. ​With outdoor seating to the front of your cottage, you can sit in the serenity of the outdoors. ​
