「Such a wonderful family, with lots of "female energy".They were very empathetic, insightful, helpful, and inclusive towards my needs. My room under the eaves overlooking the back garden was charming, suitably warm, and the bed very comfortable....」

The Wind In The Willows Guest Room is a chalet style room on the third floor of Highlands House. Highlands House is our wonderful unique and historical home in Henley On Thames - home to the world famous Henley Regatta.
We are 5 mins walk from the station and a beautiful spot on the River Thames.
There is plenty of parking for cars and you can leave a bike or kayak at the house. We also have a kayak and bikes you can borrow.
Feel free to make use of the kitchen, piano room, dining room and garden. we have a small "dip-in" overground pool when it's hot weather or large trampoline if you need to burn some cals! There's enough parking for 8 cars and the train station is a 5 min walk then 90 seconds to Henley town centre or 4 mins to Twyford where you can catch the Elizabeth line into London or to Reading. Highlands House was built in 1910 and was the original Manor House in Lower Shiplake. It has all the original features including oak panelled walls, very high celiengs and Victorian fireplaces.
Hi
We are Ross and Kate and we live with our four lovely kids.
We love living in Henley and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.
If you enjoy the river and historical market towns then we think you will!!
We live in the house, so we will be knocking around, but we are very laid back and friendly.
We know the town and surrounding area very well so please dont hesitate to ask for restaurant recommendations or places to visit!
We love spending time on the River and walking, and our place is very popular amongst water sports enthusiasts and walkers alike. So please don't hesitate to ask about local activities..
