Hillside apartment's location makes it a perfect getaway on the north coast—just slightly off the promenade. You benefit from being close to the attractions, yet still have a private, quiet retreat. This apartment is perfect for the whole family, with a private parking spot at the rear of the property and a lift that stops right outside the apartment door.
As you enter, you'll be greeted by modern decor, limestone floors, and light streaming in. Each room has a view of the sea, with the master bedroom offering direct access to the balcony, and on a quiet night, you can hear the waves softly breaking nearby.
The highlight of your stay will be the covered balcony, which runs across the width of the property. Whether you're gazing out at the setting sun near the Donegal Peninsula, watching the kids play on the green, or staying cozy on the sofa with the rain falling outside, you can enjoy a stay all year round.
Hello, my name is Gerard, and I, along with my family, have the pleasure of welcoming you to this beautiful apartment. If you have any questions or queries, don't hesitate to contact us.
What a perfect stay at Hillside would look like:
If you're an early bird with some bravery, I would recommend a morning dip in the heron pond, located just a two‑minute walk from the apartment. Afterwards, to warm up, take another two‑minute walk to the seafront. If you're anything like me and need a coffee fix in the morning, visit Roughan’s for great coffee and fresh scones while you watch the world go by. Head back to the apartment and get ready for the day. There are many wonderful walks in the surrounding coastal area, but if you're looking for a more local route, make your way along the promenade and follow the Nuns’ Cliff path, which offers stunning views of the sea from above. This path eventually takes you over to Portstewart Strand, recently awarded the top spot by The Times for Best Beach of the Year. If the walk to the beach is too much for little legs, it's only a five‑minute drive away.
Once you've got your steps in for the day, stop for lunch at Harry’s Shack, which sits right at the entrance to the strand. Finish the afternoon with some shopping along the promenade at one of the many local shops, or a trip to the nearby play park. After a full day, head back to the apartment to relax. You'll find a fully equipped kitchen to make dinner—hopefully making it feel like a home away from home. Before bed, step out onto the balcony with a cuppa and enjoy the sun spectacularly setting into the sea—which, in my opinion, is the best part of the day.
