56 High Street is a 14th century timber framed Tudor building situated just outside of Salisbury Cathedrals elegant High Street entrance. It was one of the first buildings to be built after the Cathedral and in order to protect it's historic importance it is Grade 2* listed. The two separate first floor apartments can accommodate up to 8 guests. From the High Street a private front door leads guests into a corridor and onto a staircase. Once upstairs on the right is the entrance to Hideaway and the left leads to the outdoor terrace and Purlins. Hideaway is a single storey apartment at the rear of the property nestled in the roof tops. The living room and kitchen are 14th century, the bedroom and shower room a 20th century addition. With a dining table that seats 8 this space is great for family meal times. The spacious bedroom is situated at the very rear of the building and is unusually quiet for a city centre. It can be set up as a double, twin or a family room for 2 adults and 2 children. The two apartments are separated by an outdoor terrace allowing guests either side to be private or open up all the doors and both apartments become one connected space. Great for two families who want the option of all being together but perhaps not all the time! Once you step outside onto the terrace the entrance to Purlins is in front of you. Purlins is a 2 storey apartment at the front of the building. Both apartments have been refurbished to a high standard with guests comfort and luxury in mind. The sunny sitting room has probably one of the best views of the Cathedral in Salisbury and whilst sat in the comfy velvet chairs one can while away hours looking at it and people watching on the street below. With an enviable position at the top end of the High Street which is a no through road at night time and a friendly community in the day time, with outdoor space and 2 dedicated parking spaces these apartments are a rare find in Salisbury.

There is no more city centre than being in the centre of the High Street. From the bay window in Purlins sitting room you can view the bustle on the street below and look right towards the Cathedral and left towards St Thomas's Church. All the shops, cafes and restaurants are on your doorstep.
