Brunswick Terrace is right on the beach, with just the little cul-de-sac to cross to be on the beach. The top of the beach is shingle and then sand as the tide drops. Weymouth Bay is very safe for swimming as it is all sand, shelving very gently with no current, so very safe for children.
We are at the quieter end of Weymouth, but only about 10 minutes' walk into the middle of town, with the shops and amusements. You can walk safely into Weymouth along the Esplanade just outside, or in the opposite direction up towards Bowleaze Cove.
The suite is on the second floor, so affording wonderful sea views across Weymouth Bay, looking down the Jurassic Coast towards St Adhelm's Head or towards Weymouth Harbour, the Nothe Fort and Portland Harbour.
My name is Tim O'Hare and with my wife Susan I have been running The Seaspray B&B on the picturesque late Georgian Brunswick Terrace for some years. We have now added this lovely 2 room self catering suite just along the Terrace at Horizon, to cater for families or 2 couples
We love living here looking out across Weymouth Bay with its constantly changing colours and moods.
I was born just down the coast at Lulworth Cove and enjoy helping guests to enjoy the stunning scenery of Dorset, and the Jurassic Coast or the town and attractions of Weymouth itself.
My main personal interests currently are sea fishing, kayaking, fossil hunting and walking (though I've also dived extensively around here and worked on marine biology projects here and in other parts of the world. My wife Susan enjoys walking and is also an artist, using the views here as an inspiration.
Weymouth is a lively small town with many attractions for visitors. The beach is the primary one, with soft sand and a gently shelving beach, ideal for children. The harbour side shops, pubs and restaurants are popular venues.
Weymouth has the most days of sunshine of all towns in England!
If you are a walker, there are dozens of excellent walks, both coastal and inland and we have a folder with about a hundred walks with maps and other details for guests to use.
The Jurassic coast is noted for its fossils and the primary locations to find fossils are along the coast at beaches close to the towns of Charmouth and Lyme Regis.
The Tank Museum at Bovington and Monkey World are both internationally noted attractions and both in easy reach of Weymouth
