Located in the centre of Whitby, Abbey View is a cosy and welcoming first floor apartment sleeping two guests. And as the name suggests, the apartment has an amazing view of Whitby’s historic Abbey! With a sandy beach, restaurants serving the freshest catch of the day and plenty of attractions within walking distance, it’s no surprise Whitby has been welcoming guests for years. If you’re travelling for a couples' escape, Abbey View has everything you could need for a coastal self-catering stay. A maximum of two well-behaved dogs older than 6 months old are welcome to stay at Abbey View per reservation.

The centre of Whitby, and Whitby Harbour are just a short walk from Abbey View, so it’s ideal if you want to experience what life is like living by the sea. Head to Pier Road and you’ll find cosy pubs, fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants. Continue along the lively road until you reach the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts. At the other end of Pier Road, you’ll notice the swing bridge which sits over the River Esk. Over the bridge, you’ll find yourself on the East bank which is full of narrow medieval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’. Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby lies on the edge of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.
