🌿 Hunter Heights Loft Apartment – Peaceful Countryside Retreat
Welcome to Hunter Heights Loft Apartment, a cosy countryside escape perfectly located for exploring the Isle of Wight. Set in a peaceful rural spot surrounded by beautiful views and birdsong, it’s hard to believe you’re just minutes from the island’s main attractions, beaches, and walking trails.
The open-plan loft apartment is bright and comfortable, featuring a super king bed, a well-equipped kitchen, dining area, and a cosy lounge to relax after a day of adventures. There’s also a modern shower room with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Outside, enjoy the tranquil setting – perfect for your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine while watching the sunset over the countryside.
A car is recommended, as we’re tucked away down a quiet country lane (please take care as it does have some potholes), but the peaceful surroundings are well worth the drive.
We’re dog-friendly, too – your four-legged friends will love the walks right from the door, with plenty of countryside and trails to explore.
Whether you’re here for a relaxing getaway or to discover the island’s beaches, villages, and scenic trails, Hunter Heights Loft Apartment offers the perfect blend of comfort, calm, and convenience.
🌞 About Us
I moved to the island over ten years ago after years in the busy corporate world – and I absolutely love the slower pace of island life. My partner recently joined me from London, and he’s enjoying it just as much! We have two dogs – a German Shepherd and a Lab Lurcher – and we spend lots of time walking in the beautiful countryside around us.
Firestone Copse is one of our favourite dog walks, especially in summer when the trees offer shade and there’s a cool pool for dogs to splash in.
While summer on the Isle of Wight is full of energy – with festivals, Cowes Week, Ventnor Fringe, beach days, and water sports – I’ll let you in on a little secret: autumn and winter are magical too! The island is quieter, beaches are empty, village pubs glow with log fires, and there are great local events like Brighstone Christmas Tree Festival and Christmas markets. It’s the perfect time for a cosy weekend getaway – with quieter roads, easy ferry bookings, and plenty of dog-friendly beaches to explore.
We’re open all year round and often have great winter deals, so you can enjoy the island in every season.
Get in touch, we'd love to welcome you to an Isle Getaway Stay at Hunter Heights!

🌅 Things to See and Do
Hunter Heights Loft Apartment is the perfect base for adults looking to enjoy the very best of the Isle of Wight — combining peaceful countryside charm with easy access to beaches, attractions, and scenic walks.
If you love the outdoors, you’ll be spoiled for choice. The island offers excellent golf courses, cycling routes, and walking trails that wind through beautiful countryside and along dramatic coastal paths. Try paddleboarding, sailing, kayaking, or horse riding, or simply enjoy exploring the nearby downs and woodland walks right from your doorstep.
For something a little different, join one of the island’s ghost walks or historic tours and uncover tales of smugglers, shipwrecks, and mysterious landmarks. The south side of the island is full of hidden coves and breathtaking viewpoints that make for unforgettable days out.
If a slower pace is more your style, take time to explore the island’s art galleries, gardens, and charming villages such as Godshill and Shanklin Old Village, both known for their thatched cottages, independent shops, and tearooms. Or, take a leisurely drive along the famous Military Road, one of the most stunning coastal routes in the UK, where the sea and countryside stretch endlessly before you.
The Isle of Wight is also a haven for food lovers. You’ll find an abundance of cosy pubs, beachside cafés, and award-winning restaurants, serving everything from fresh local seafood to hearty Sunday roasts and seasonal island produce. Don’t miss the chance to sample local wines, ales, cheeses, and artisan treats from the island’s vineyards, breweries, and farm shops.
While summer is a lively time filled with festivals, sailing events, and open-air concerts, the autumn and winter months offer a different kind of magic. Enjoy quiet beaches, crisp countryside walks, and inviting village pubs with roaring fires — perfect for a cosy, relaxed escape.
We have some fantastic Winter Getaway offers, and open all year round!
