Hello, Welcome to Hunting Gate Lodge, We offer the following:

* One Double bedroom

* Open-plan living space incorporating kitchen, dining area and sitting area with soft bed (Only made when 3 or more guests book)
* Electric Wood burning stove, Electric central heating
* Electric oven and hob, kettle, toaster, fridge
* Smart TV, WiFi
* Bed linen and towels included
* Off-road parking for 1 car
* Decked garden with wood burning hot tub (kiln dried wood can be purchased for Seven Pounds per bag)
* Sofa bed available for additional sleeping flexibility (Only made up when 3 guest book)
House Rules:
No Smoking
No Candles
Disposable BBQ can be used on the log provided but must be kept on the bark not decking
No music to be played outside - please keep this to a sensible level inside.
Due to our neighbours in close proximity please ensure that if you are outside past 9pm quiet voices are used.
We provide parking for one car, please park other cars in the lay-by at the front of the house.
We can dispose of 1 big bag of rubbish please take all other rubbish home with you.
Wood taken from the log store is to be paid for at the point of taking. This can be paid in cash to the host.
Please make your hosts aware of any issues as soon as they arise.
Any damages to the lodge, bedding or items within will be charged for accordingly.
Please do not remove any items from the lodge including towels.
Please do not move any furniture inside or outside.
Wood burning hot tub:
1.Fill the hot tub with the hose provided. Make sure the water level is above the stove.
2. Using fire lighters, matches and kindling wood build a fire at the very back of the stove.
3.Build the fire with kiln dried wood and refuel every 30 minutes.
4. Stir the water right to the bottom of the tub every 30 minutes.
Please note the first light when freshly filled takes around 3 hours to reach temperature.
The lodge is situated next to our family home, we will be able to help with any issues that may arise and suggest the best places to visit or to eat!
Just a short walk from The Lodge is one of the popular public houses in the village, The Coppice Inn. Sunny afternoons can be enjoyed with a crisp pint of ale in the beer garden, or indulging in warming pub fare on those cooler evenings. A short walk into the village you will find a convenience shop and bakery where fresh Cornish Pasties, bread, cake and pastries can be sourced for breakfast and suppers. There are many scenic walks to be enjoyed direct from The Lodge through the nearby countryside. The bustling retail town of Redruth is set within easy reach and is steeped with the mining history. It is possible a step back in time with a tour of a Cornish Engine House, The Moseley Heritage Museum or Kresen Kernow, home to the world's largest collection of documents relating to the history of Cornwall, or if you time it right, why not catch a live game at Redruth Rugby Football Club? Close by are the stunning sandy beaches on the North Coast of Portreath and Porthtowan. The three mile stretch of Sands at Perranporth isideal for surfing, horse riding or afternoons and evenings lounging on the beach outside the Watering Hole pub where live bands often play. Walk the South West Coastal path along the Durassic Cornish Coastline enjoying the glistening still waters on the south Coast and the dramatic breaking waves on the North. There is no better place to enjoy an intimate escape to Cornwall with a stay at Hunting Gate Lodge.
