James' Place@Dowlais offers 7 individually and creatively styled self-catering studios. They are ideally placed for exploring the Brecon Becons, climbing Pen-Y-Fan or visiting Bike Park Wales amongst many of the other great activities in the area or for working away from home. They are only a 5mins drive from the town centre and there is a bus stop right outside which can take you to the main train and bus station. Each studio has a separate but en-suite Kitchenette with all the essentials plus en-suite Shower-Room. We also provide a few surprising luxuries with Soap & Glory complimentary toiletries, a pint of milk and freshly baked home-made welsh cakes to welcome you to Wales.

James' Place@Dowlais is located a 5min drive from the town centre with a main Train Station and Bus Station. Nearby there are a couple of restaurants and a large super market. Merthyr Tydfil is ideally located for exploring the Brecon Beacons, walking Peny-Fan or around the Waterfalls. In addition it is only 5 minutes away from the world renowned Bike Park Wales., 30 mins from Cardiff and 1 hour from the beach at the Mumbles.
