The old registry was built over one hundred and fifty years ago , it was completely renovated to exacting standards two years ago . The property is in a quiet safe location in the town off Shotts it is well situated with a selection of shops ,takeaway restaurants, restaurants, pubs,and a supermarket and train station all within a minutes walk . The train service is on the Edinburgh Glasgow line which is ideal for visitors who want to go to either city centre without the hassle of driving. We're just about in the middle of the two cities which can be reached in just over 30 mins by rail . There are many sights and attractions in both cities and both have excellent bus tours of the cities and all the major sights in Scotland . Our guests agree that Shotts is ideally situated as a central base to make excursions from to most of Scotland .Were only a few minutes drive from the M8 motorway which is the main gateway to all the major routes . The house is very relaxing with high ceilings a high specification kitchen a beautiful lounge and dining area .All the beds have orthopaedic or memory foam mattresses to ensure you are well rested . The old registry is a self contained private house so you will be completely on your own with your own privacy . But you have the assurance and benefit of someone nearby with local knowledge should you have any need of advice or assistance. John and Ireen are both well traveled and have drawn on their experiences to provide an exceptional holiday home that they would be delighted to stay in . Their ethos is to provide somewhere that is clean ,warm , comfortable, private and safe a real home from home .John has lots of knowledge of sights worth visiting ,local golf courses and places of interest which he'll be more than happy to share with you .
