***Normally used as a suite of 2 rooms and a private bathroom, there is the option for just one room to be used in which the price will be altered accordingly!*** Centrally situated, Kirklands, a Georgian country house (circa 1730), is an ideal base to explore The Scottish Borders and beyond with Edinburgh and the coast less than an hour's drive or can now be reached by the new Borders Railway. **Please note: this property does NOT include a kitchen and access to the drawing room has been temporarily halted as a result of present circumstances but will resume as soon as it is safe to do so.
As a "native" of the area I have a decent working knowledge of what there is to see and do. In addition I can advise re "eateries" and facilities Melrose has to offer, just ask.
Centrally situated, Kirklands, a Georgian country house (circa 1730), is an ideal base to explore The Scottish Borders and beyond with Edinburgh and the coast less than an hour's drive or can now be reached by the new Borders Railway. Borders Railway is approximately 7 minutes from Kirklands. Melrose has ample free parking. There is plenty of parking at Kirklands and we can provide ample storage for bikes/golf clubs, fishing tackle etc.
