Caravan 16 is situated on The Beeches Caravan Park in the lovely village of Gilcrux, 10 minutes from Cockermouth. It has the most wonderful views looking north to the Solway Firth and the Galloway Forest Park.
The property has a large living area, with ample seating, a coffee table and electric fire. There is a large smart TV and WiFi is available. The large L-shaped sofa also offers an extra sleeping option with a double sofa bed including an orthopaedic mattress.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, microwave, gas hob & grill, counter top multi oven, George Foreman indoor/outdoor grill, toaster and kettle. There is a dining area with table and four chairs.
The property has two bedrooms; one double with king size bed, en-suite toilet and hairdryer and the second has two single beds. Both benefit from blackout curtains/blinds. There is also a separate bathroom with shower and toilet.
The property has a large decked terrace to the side with a comfy sofa and picnic table for dining. It also has a rear decked area with seating where you can sit and watch the sunset over the Solway Firth.
The caravan has central heating, and all bedding and towels are provided. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.
Dogs are allowed.
Sarah & Keith are keen fell walkers and spend most of their free time walking with their two collies or out on the water on their kayak. They love to be able to share their holiday home with other outdoor enthusiasts.
The Beeches Caravan Park is a small, quiet site in the village of Gilcrux. The site offers a children's playground, post office and small shop plus a launderette with washer and dryer.
Gilcrux is a lovely village just over 5 miles away from the pretty Georgian town of Cockermouth. The village has a country pub which serves food Thursday to Sunday, village green and children's playground. The closest beach is at Allonby, approximately 3.5 miles away. There are many lovely walks direct from the property itself.
The property is in an ideal location for exploring the North & West Lakes. The wilderness of Ennerdale, the magic of Borrowdale and the beauty of Buttermere are all only around 30 minutes away. Bassenthwaite Lake is 20 minutes away and the popular town of Keswick, with its spectacular scenery on the shores of Derwentwater, is 30 minutes away.
