Sweetcombe Cottage Holidays is a locally based self-catering agency focusing on East Devon. Established over 35 years ago with just a handful of cottages, the company has grown to the point where we now successfully market a wide variety of properties throughout the region. From the start we were determined to build up a reputation for offering only the best of properties. The company has grown, but everyone involved still holds true to the combination of commitment and professionalism that is the foundation of the company's success. Family run to this day, we are still able to offer that personal service which sadly in today's ever increasing pace of life can sorely fall by the wayside.

Lawnside is a former iconic sports pavilion built in 1906 which is now newly converted to modern standards offering three holiday apartments which look over the grounds of Budleigh Salterton Croquet Club. It is located on Cricket Field Lane, where the Bowls and Tennis clubs can also be found. This quiet location sits above the town with the shops and beach only a few minutes walk away.
Budleigh Salterton Croquet Club is one of the premier croquet clubs in Europe with 11 lawns and outstanding views over the town and sea. It regularly hosts National and International tournaments but is first and foremost a club accessible to everyone and to all abilities.
The Club is now over 150 years old; the earliest records show that Archery was the first activity in 1856. By the 1870's croquet was played followed by tennis and bowls. For many years the Club was an important stage on the qualifiers circuit for Wimbledon. When the professional tennis era began Croquet became the dominant sport. The beautiful setting over the sea includes lovely gardens which are a delightful complement to the outstanding grounds and facilities that are enjoyed by club members and visitors alike.
