Myself and my husband Mark live right on the edge of the gorgeous Yorkshire Wolds, close to the historic city of York. We are expecting our first baby and love being outside with our friendly golden retriever. A day at the beach is just as welcome as a snuggly evening by the fire.
We live just next door and are often out and about in the garden. Please do ask if you need anything but we mostly like to leave our guests in peace. The best way to get in touch is via text and i'll be able to respond asap.
We are located in the middle of Bolton village, on the main road through, about 3 miles from Pocklington. There is a great pub, The Carpenter’s Arms, within a 10 minute walk in Fangfoss and a slightly longer walk to another, The Fleece, in Bishop Wilton which also has a community shop. The village has a 30mph road running through it which connect Stamford Bridge to Pocklington and is a bus route.
There is a public bus (747) that runs through the village to York in one direction and to Pocklington in the other. The bus stop is about 100m from the Lodge.
It is a short walk to a brilliant kids play park in Fangfoss called Jubilee Park. It has a zip wire and other brilliant equipment. Another 10 minute walk in from there is The Shire, a Gelateria and cafe in a beautiful setting on the outskirts of Bishop Wilton.
