Prefer to dine out? No problem! A variety of seaside restaurants serve fresh, locally sourced produce. Why not try Mackerel Sky in Newlyn or The Gurnard’s Head for some seasonal delights? The lounge features a small double sofa bed, which can be added on request to accommodate an additional adult or young children. The sofa bed can be made up for an additional 15 - just let us know if you’d like this arranged! Just a short stroll away, the beautiful sandy beaches of Sennen Cove await. Whether you're visiting as a couple or with friends, you can enjoy the fresh sea air and the feel of soft sand beneath your feet. Whitesands Bay is one of the finest beaches in West Cornwall and a top destination for surfers. It is accessible by a private beach path and offers excellent facilities, including toilets, takeaway food, a surf shop, surfboard hire, a surf school, and a fantastic beachside restaurant. Whitesands and neighbouring Gwynver Bay hold Blue Flag status, with lifeguards on duty throughout the summer. Please note that dogs are not permitted on Whitesands Beach from Easter Day until October 1st, but they are welcome on Gwynver Beach year-round.

The surrounding area is rich in breathtaking landscapes and fascinating history. Just a short drive or scenic coastal walk away, Land’s End offers dramatic ocean views, family-friendly attractions, and the iconic signpost marking the westernmost point of England. Nearby, the Minack Theatre, a spectacular open-air venue carved into the cliffs, hosts performances with the Atlantic Ocean as a stunning backdrop. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the picturesque village of Mousehole, where colourful fishing boats bob on the water - you’ll be amazed at how much this part of Cornwall has to offer. Longships is one of four cottages converted from a Victorian house. For larger groups, the other three cottages can be booked alongside Longships. All cottages are set within 16 acres of shared grounds, including 2½ acres of terraced gardens with communal parking, barbecue facilities, and picnic tables.
