Our comfortable accommodation adjoins our home but has a private entrance and whilst we may be on site we respect the privacy of guests but we are available if required. We have a friendly family pet dog at our home who is in an enclosed area . The apartment has a living room/kitchenette equipped with a microwave , toaster, kettle and fridge. Whilst there is no cooker on site we are happy to provide an air-fryer/ slow cooker on request.
There is a full-size sofa bed, bedroom with a double and single, and an en-suite with electric shower/toilet and wash basin. There is a TV in the bedroom and in the living room with streaming services.
Located on the outskirts of the rural village of Kilcoo, we are a short 10-minute drive from Castlewellan Forest Park with it’s Mountain Bike trails , maze, kayaking7 paddle-boarding on the lake, walks, castle and gardens. Newcastle and Murlough Nature Reserve are a 15 minute drive. Tollymore Park is 10 minutes drive . 15 mins to Spelga Dam with stunning views of the Mourne Mountains.
It is approximately one hour drive to Belfast International Airport and to George Best City airport. Dublin airport is approximately 90 minutes drive .
Hi I live in Kilcoo with my husband and have a lot of knowledge about the area.
I am a member of a Hill walking group and enjoy hiking in the Mournes.
We live on the property and are available by phone or email if not at home . We are happy to interact with guests as required but will respect privacy.
Rural setting in a small village, 2 minutes drive to the local shop and to the bus stop and bus route to/from Newry, Castlewellan Newcastle, Dundrum and Downpatrick . The property has breathtaking views of Lough Island Reavy Reservoir which has amenity walks and beautiful views of the Mourne Mountains. A children's playpark is also in this area. 10 minutes drive from Castlewellan and 10 minutes from Newcastle.
The property is in a rural area but within 5 minutes walk to local shop and bus stop .The bus route is from Newry to Downpatrick with stops at Hilltown, Rathfriland, Kilcoo, Castlewellan, Newcastle, Dundrum .
