The local area is renowned for it's outstanding natural beauty with walks abound from the park entrance to Priest Hutton & Borwick and by car/bus to Warton where you can walk up Warton Crag and you will find many enjoyable walks around Silverdale & Arnside. You will also find our famous Leighton Moss Nature Reserve on the way to Silverdale and Leighton Hall at Yealand where you can take a tour and see theatrical and motor shows during the summer months. Quite the opposite, there is much to see and do for all the family. 200 yards down the road you will find Greenlands Farm Village where individuals and families can experience farm animals, cafe, arts & crafts, mini golf, kids play area, archery, helicopter rides and much more. You will also find the Longlands Hotel restaurant and bar opposite Greenlands Farm Village as well as Tewitfield Locks where you can enjoy the many scenic walks along the canal, while stopping off at the many canal pubs along the way... There are numerous cafes, restaurants and pubs within a short distance from the park. You can grab a bus outside Greenlands Farm Village (going north) or the Longlands Hotel (going south), load your car and stock up on supplies at the village of Carnforth or Burton In Kendal. The historic city of Lancaster and Morecambe have much to offer. You can also take in the breath taking views across Morecambe Bay or at Arnside, whilst enjoying a picnic, fish & chips or an ice cream.
