Property information

Stay in the heart of historic York in this beautiful grade II listed building which was the birth place of the famous confectioner Joseph Rowntree in 1836. Only 50 yards from the much loved Shambles. History surrounds you even before entering the Rowntree building, experience the atmospheric medieval alley known as Lady Peckett's Yard reminiscent of Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter films. This passage is lined with historic buildings including the birth place of Sir Thomas Herbert in 1606.
