In the beautiful Wye Valley (AONB), Woofield Accommodation is comprised of 3 designer apartments attached to a Grade II Georgian house on the edge of Newland village – a secluded haven high in the hills, yet only moments from all the activities the area has to offer – hiking, kayaking, golfing and cycling to name just a few. Explore this enchanting area and come home to elegant lodgings in gorgeous rural surrounds and ‘The Ostrich Inn’ pub a short stroll away. Small well behaved dogs allowed. Palm House is a large 2 king size bedroom apartment. It is decorated with luxurious beds, classic furnishings and an abundance of period character. The eat-in kitchen is fully equipped and the marble tiled bathroom features a slipper bath, separate shower and convenient washer/dryer cupboard, housing an iron and hair dryer. There is free Wifi, private parking and an outdoor terrace with lovely valley views. Egyptian cotton linens and towels are all provided and there is central heating throughout. There is a French antique daybed in one bedroom which can accommodate an additional single guest on request. Interior designers Raymond and Neil purchased historic Woofield in the delightful village of Newland in early 2021 and set about a ground up renovation and complete redecoration of the substantial Grade II building. They share their wonderful home with Minnelli their border terrier. Neil, an acclaimed interior designer with a wealth of international experience working on small luxury hotels as well as serviced apartments and countless luxury homes, was also an on-screen designer for Changing Rooms and Hot Property New Zealand for many years! Raymond, having joined Neil some years ago and with commercial experience in property development and project management shares his passions and approach to exacting detail and finish. The pair have created "Woofield Accommodation" from two existing apartments and a top floor space at the rear of the Georgian house. Seasoned travellers and with much experience staying in some of the world's best hotels, resorts and luxury accommodation they have made sure the apartments meet their own discerning standards and have used their skills to deliver elegant, stylish and comfortable spaces for holiday makers to enjoy. Design, Architecture, furniture, art and travel are among their passions. We like to leave our guests to their own devices to enjoy a peaceful stay and have provided everything we can think of to make them more than comfortable. Newland boasts the impressive 'Cathedral of the Forest' All Saint's Church a wonderful 13th century Anglican church, as well as the equally ancient 'The Ostrich Inn' - a renowned pub with great atmosphere and food. There are walking trails in all directions from the property in this pretty village, discreetly nestled in a picturesque valley in the hills on the border of England and Wales. A sense of idyllic seclusion yet only a short drive to the bustling market towns of Coleford (2 miles) or Monmouth (6 miles) with all the local shops and supermarkets needed to stock up on provisions for your stay. There are many great cafes, pubs and restaurants throughout the area to enjoy meals out from simple fare to Michelin star eateries.
