The small town of Oswaldtwistle rests in south east Lancashire and is not far from Blackburn. The town is home to a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, and is around a half an hour from the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which offers plenty of excellent walking country. Passing through the town is the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, once used for exporting cotton, it now presents a lovely way to explore the area on foot or on bike.
