Merrivale Barn is rural, so is a peaceful and quiet location to really unwind from the stresses of everyday life. Though the property is old, (originally the stable/hayloft and tack room of our home) the cottage was fully renovated, so it is modern, clean and bright. Good broadband (free unlimited) and generally good mobile coverage from the cottage, just in case you need to stay in touch with the outside world! Guests have their own private garden. Being so rural, there are dark night skies - great for star gazing lying on the patio loungers. Previous guests have reported sightings of wildlife, foxes with their cubs; owls, buzzards; hedgehogs; rabbits.... It's a great base as many tourist attractions are within easy driving distance.

Merrivale Barn is a great base as many tourist attractions are within easy driving distance:- Trebah gardens, various National Trust properties, gardens and beaches, English Heritage castles, Falmouth; Truro Cathedral; Land's End; the Lizard and it's beaches; SW coastal walks, National Maritime Museum, Poldark Mine - just to name a few! There are leaflets in the cottage, through which you can browse at leisure.
