This is a budget 4 double room shared homestay for up to 8 guests. A homestay is a property where you basically look after yourself, just as you would at home, cleaning up after yourself etc, taking out the trash. Except you may be sharing this house with other wonderful and interesting guests. If you prefer not to share simply book all 3 rooms However, budget doesn’t have to mean basic. Each room has its own TV and Double bed. All have somewhere to keep your clothes. There is well-equipped shared kitchen with oven and large fridge, freezer. There is a washing machine but for safety reasons we can only supply clothes racks for drying. The bathroom has a Shower/Bath arrangement. The property is centrally heated, has internet; and outside, the street has free on street parking. CCTV covers the front and back of the property.

The property is situated in the township of Clayton-le-Moors close to the traditional Village square; With nearby shops and pubs, you don’t have to walk far for your basics. Clayton le Moors thrived in the 1800's being on the route of the Leeds to Liverpool Canal which its construction pre dated the railways We are blessed to have the beautiful Mercer Park just a 5-minute walk away. Mercer Park, once the grounds of Mercer House, is freely open to the public; and has outdoor Gym equipment, Childrens swings and a War Memorial. Mercer House was previously Oakenshaw Cottage, where John Mercer lived towards the end of his life. Mercer, a self-taught chemist born in Great Harwood, invented the mercerisation process for treating cotton which is still in use today. He was also a pioneer of colour photography. A fifteen-minute drive you will find yourself in the Historic town of Clitheroe or Whalley nestled in the picturesque Ribble Valley, overseen by imposing Pendle Hill, famed for its Witches.
