Namastay is a cosy 2 bedroomed apartment set snuggly behind Glastonbury high street, around a minute's walk from all the delightfully quirky shops, restaurants and pubs, a couple of minutes from the historical Abbey and around 20 minutes from the Tor. The beautiful cathedral city of Wells is only 5 miles away, and less than 2 miles in the opposite direction in Street is the fantastic discount shopping centre, Clarks Village. Busses run regularly to both towns, or if you're feeling active, you can hire bicycles from Glastonbury visitors centre, next to the Abbey entrance. The apartment is well equipped for cooking, and I provide all the basic essentials so you don't have to dash out to the supermarket when you should be relaxing and settling in to your holiday home! There are two single beds in the master bedroom which can be made up as a king size bed, and a double in the second bedroom. Please inform me when booking how you'd like the beds arranged so I can accommodate your sleeping preferences. For example if the booking is for 2 people I will not know if you want separate rooms or plan on sharing. I have provided a comprehensive guide to local and surrounding areas, the "Namastay Handbook" which you'll find in the apartment, but please feel free to get in touch if you require information prior to your arrival. I am available through Whats 'messaging' App if you have any queries or need any help with booking dates etc. I also have my own web site for bookings if you need any further information. *Please get in touch directly if you wish to discuss more flexible arrangements regarding your booking. I allow guests to arrive early if Namastay is ready, but this depends on many factors and variables and can by no means be guaranteed. If it's really important to you to be able to arrive early (before 2:30pm) or to leave after the 10:30am check out time, it may be possible to guarantee this for a fee*
I'd like to wish you a very warm welcome to Glastonbury. *Please get in touch if you have a query about dates and availability, I have my own master calendar and can be more flexible with direct bookings* My partner and I live in Glastonbury not too far from the Tor and between us have 5 almost adult children, and a husky. We're close enough to be on hand should you need us, but won't bother you if you don't. I love travel (land and sea anyway!), being outdoors, yoga, coastal walks, cooking and our lovely, quirky town. My partner co-owns a local IT business while I take care of Namastay full time. We've lived in Glastonbury for many years and are only too happy to help if you want advice, tips or directions. It's important to me that you really enjoy your stay stress free, and to feel like you're away from home without sacrificing home comforts, so have done my best to equip and furnish Namastay with this in mind. I hold myself to high standards when it comes to cleaning and guest comforts, but am always open to suggestions if improvements can be made! I look forward to hosting you, and hope you thoroughly enjoy your Glastonbury experience! Namaste, Kirsty 🙏
There is A LOT, to see, do, eat, drink and experience in Glastonbury. The high street itself, though small, could entertain you for a good few days! If you want to add sparkles and feathers to your hair, get a tarot reading, have your aura cleansed, buy some spells or tie-dye dungarees, that's just the tip of what's on offer! There are so many wonderful places to eat, catering for all dietary requirements that I couldn't begin to make suggestions, other than to say just try it! I can't think of anywhere that would disappoint. No visit to Glastonbury would be complete without climbing the Tor for the breathtaking 360 views, and while you're there, stop at the White Spring (there REALLY is nowhere else like it!) or the stunning World Peace Gardens of Chalice Well, and drop in to the Rural Life Museum on your way home. Within the town, there are many beautiful and historical buildings- the Tribunal, George and Pilgrims bar/restaurant, St John's Church, and Magdalene Chapel, to name but a few, and of course the legendary 7th Century Abbey. There are many areas of natural beauty to visit from the Avalon marshes where you can catch the mesmerising starling murmurations, to the ancient oak trees Gog and Magog, or a bit further afield is the stunning early c13 Wells cathedral, and in Street you can visit the Clarks Shoe Museum, the rather pretty Clarks village outdoor shopping centre, gorgeous outdoor heated Greenbank pool (Easter-September only) or nip up to Hecks cider barn for some proper Somerset produce in a very olde worlde grocery barn! Suffice to say, there is plenty to see and do in a fairly small radius.... The Glastonbury Information Centre is open 7 days per week if you're not sure where to start first!
