You’ll have a restful and relaxing time at Nant Gloyw, and you'll love our bright, clean and modern en-suite rooms in our extended family home, situated in a quiet residential area just 10 minutes walk from the town centre. Each room has a private bathroom , a really comfy bed and a large smart TV, plus a generous hospitality tray with plenty of different teas and coffees.
Your stay will be as sustainable as possible - solar panels help to provide your hot water and electricity and you’ll find no single use plastic or individually wrapped items here, there's proper milk (plant milk always available too), plus a teapot and full-size mugs.
You’ll enjoy a varied & healthy continental breakfast; including cereals, home made fruit compotes, quality breads, croissants, and greek and fruit yoghurts. There are cooked vegetarian options available too. Gluten free/vegan options also available with notice.
We now offer EV charging via a type 2 UK charger, charged in addition to room cost. Please contact us if you wish to charge your EV while here.
We're an inclusive household, all welcome. We're in a quiet residential area and ask you to respect our neighbours and other guests by keeping the noise down after 10pm. Check in is from 3.30pm but we can often manage earlier.
When our children left home for University we decided to use the extra space for a bed and breakfast! 6 years in we've welcomed people from all around the world and have picked up great reviews along the way
Gayle works from home running a coaching and consultancy business and Michael takes the lead with the B&B. We enjoy walking (there are some fantastic local walks), occasionally looking after guide dogs awaiting rehoming after retirement, keeping fit and enjoying Oswestry's many great amenities. We'll provide you with a clean, comfortable and welcoming home from home environment.
You'll appreciate the convenience of being just a 10 minute walk from Oswestry town centre, a market town on the border with Wales. You’ll find small independent shops, restaurants, cafes, visitor attractions and beautiful countryside. An ideal base for accessing North Wales as well as exploring the Shropshire Hills and Offa's Dyke Path (If you're walking ODP we can sometimes offer a collection and drop off service for a small charge, and can sort you out a packed lunch - get in touch before booking for more information) and a little further afield there's Snowdonia. Whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find it and a lot more besides in Shropshire.
We are 20 minutes drive from Llangollen, home of the International Eisteddfod; 30 minutes to Shrewsbury or Chester. We're also close to the renowned RJAH Orthopedic Hospital, so an ideal base if you're working or visiting there.
