A detached spacious house overlooking undulating Suffolk countryside. Fantastic views and sunsets. Guests have their own breakfast room. Great for groups attending weddings at Alpheton Hall Barns as we are a 15 minute walk away. We have a beautiful garden facing west, we also have a well fenced pond, which has been carefully planted up with the guidance of a garden designer, it looks fabulous all year round and we welcome guests to have a walk around it. and sit and relax. There is a patio area in the garden and we are happy for guests to use this. I have hens which lay fresh eggs they can be seen from the garden.

In July 2014 we moved back to Suffolk from Berwick upon Tweed. I have a Cordon Bleu cooking qualification and love cooking. I am happy to cook dinner, with 24 hours notice. Newmans Lodge is very well situated for touring Lavenham, Long Melford, Bury St. Edmunds, Dedham and Constable country. We are in the village of Alpheton, you can walk across the 2nd World War air field to Lavenham it takes about 45 minutes. Alpheton Hall wedding barn is just a 15 minute walk away. With many restaurants and bars, art galleries, historic houses in Long Melford: Kentwell Hall and Melford Hall, shops in Bury st Edmunds, there is something for everybody.
