The Old Castle Inn is a large converted pub with quirky and gothic features. It has 5 bedrooms (two with 4 poster king sized), and 2 extra single beds on a large landing area. There are 4 seating areas, including a library/music room, a large kitchen diner, and conservatory overlooking a good sized part-walled garden. The Inn has are two working wood burning stoves. We appreciate that CV19 has changed holiday planning. On the edge of the Peak District, Alton is a beautiful village with many lovely walks on the doorstep. It has 5 pubs, most of which offer excellent food and welcome dogs. There is a post office and late night mini supermarket. The Inn is less than 5 minutes away from Alton Towers, but you can not see or hear the theme park from the village.
